CANDLE OF HOPE: Please note that the time of lighting the candle has now changed to 8:30pm on a Sunday evening due to the change in season.

  

Prayer for these difficult times: 

Keep us, good Lord, under the  shadow of your mercy in this time of uncertainty and distress. Sustain and support the anxious and fearful, and lift up all who are brought low; that we may rejoice in your comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen. 

 

Prayer for our Community: 

Loving God, we thank you for your many blessings since our church fire. We ask that as the months progress we will stay united as your body. Protect us from distraction as we seek to re-build your beautiful House of Prayer, and grant us courage to witness to your generous love to all whom we meet. Amen.

A BIG THANK YOU:  A grateful thank you from Major Margaret for all of your support on her walking during the lockdown, and to Kay for collecting the money. Major Margaret has just completed her 78th walk, and so far has raised an amazing £1740 plus promises for when she has finished. Monies raised will be split between Addenbrookes and our Church Refurbishment fund.

This free Church of England phone line is aimed particularly at the over 75’s who do not have access to the internet.  The line is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044. It is a simple way to bring worship and prayer into people’s homes while church buildings are closed.

ABSEILING FOR CANCER RESEARCH: The son of Brenda Watkin’s, Scott Herbert’s, step daughter is to abseil down 11 flights of the Lister Hospital to raise money for Cancer research. His 7 year son Jackson  (Brenda Watkins grandson) has just been diagnosed with Bone Cancer. They have set up a Just Giving page if you would like to donate.
